The Community Sauna Network (CSN) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to connecting, supporting and funding community saunas across the UK.
Our mission is to build a resilient network through collaboration, resource sharing, advocacy, and funding… whilst aiming to enhance local communities through social initiatives, such as our NHS-backed social prescribing scheme, community outreach and cultural programs.
Our vision is to make community saunas accessible to all, in every corner of the UK.
The CSN supports and connects community sauna initiatives across the UK. Each Sauna CIC benefits from shared knowledge, practical startup support, guidance on site operations, local authority engagement, and planning.

The CSN envisions a nationwide movement where community saunas are recognized as essential public health and social assets. By working together, we can strengthen the sector with our collective ethos, help establish best practices, and create a thriving network of community saunas.

Network members will be expected to contribute a small percentage of their gross turnover to a central fund. The CSN will vote and decide where best this fund can be put to use, from starting new saunas to helping existing saunas grow.
There are currently two membership tiers:
In 2024, Bristol Community Sauna became the first to join the Community Sauna Network. Located in St Annes, this 14-person electric sauna was fully funded by CSN, covering startup costs and providing expert guidance on launching and operating a community sauna.

Starting with a single community sauna in Hackney, we’ve grown into a thriving network spanning multiple locations across London. The CSN came into existence early 2024 when Community Sauna Hackney extended its reach beyond London and supported community sauna projects in Bristol, Inverness, Devon & Brighton.
The collective effort & enthusiasm has inspired and connected numerous sauna projects across the UK, creating a vibrant community of support amongst our members.
